Design the Decades Ahead
Your future will be built in ten-year stretches whether or not you plan them. Design them on purpose, starting with the one right in front of you.
Why design the decades?
Most plans cover a year or two and leave the rest to chance. Designing in decades gives you a longer view without losing detail: ten years is long enough for real change and close enough to describe with confidence. Each decade you design also sets up the next one.
Begin with vision
Enhavim is purpose and mission led by vision. The future you see comes first. Describe it clearly: where you are, what you have built and who is beside you. Everything else gets designed to serve that picture.
Design the purpose
Purpose is why the vision matters to you. It gives the work meaning and keeps you moving when progress slows. A design that ignores purpose may look tidy, but it rarely lasts.
Design the mission
Mission is the work that fulfils the vision: the goals, actions and commitments you take on. Strong missions are specific enough to start on this year and flexible enough to adjust as you learn.
The 10-4 Sprint
The 10-4 Sprint is a live cohort program where you design your decade in about 10 hours of your time. Live calls with a group leader and other participants give you feedback as you work, and workbooks keep each step practical.
- Name the roadblocks you keep running into
- Design your dMAP for the decade ahead
- Test it against live feedback from a group leader and other participants
- Leave with a design method you can repeat for every decade after this one
Your Decade Master Action Plan
The dMAP brings it together on one page. It shows what to do now, what comes next and how each year builds on the last, so your decade has a clear shape instead of a loose list of hopes.
How it works
- Describe the vision you see for the decade ahead.
- Design the purpose behind it.
- Design the mission that fulfils it.
- Work backwards to what you start this year.
- Review and redesign as you learn.
Redesign what is not working
Stalling usually has a cause. Habits, doubts, commitments and gaps can all block the route. Naming them early lets you redesign around them instead of circling the same problem.
Who it is for
People starting something new, people at a turning point, and anyone who senses the years are moving faster than their plans. It suits personal goals, professional ones, or both.
Questions before you begin
Do I need design experience?
No. If you can describe the future you want, you can design a plan for it.
Is this personal or professional?
Either. Choose the decade you want to focus on and design it around what matters most.
Do I design every decade at once?
No. Start with the next ten years. Once you have the method, you can design later decades the same way.
What if I cannot attend every call?
Calls are recorded and workbooks are provided.
Do I need a finished vision?
No. A rough picture is enough to start, and the process sharpens it.
What does enhavim mean?
Purpose and mission led by vision.
What is a dMAP?
A Decade Master Action Plan, the blueprint for your next ten years.
Every decade you design starts with one decision to begin. Start your dMAP and design the first one.
